New date for World Mountain Running Championships – September 16

28/01/2018

The 2018 World Mountain Running Championships will move one day from the originally scheduled date of Saturday, September 15, to Sunday, September 16.

The reason for the change is the 73rd Vuelta a España 2018 (Tour de Spain), which announced its route and schedule earlier this month.

The Tour is scheduled August 25 to September 16, with several stages impacting Andorra.  Stage 19 in the 21-stage Tour, will be held on Friday, September 14 with a 157-kilometer route from Lleida to 2015-meter summit Naturlandia (Andorra), followed by Stage 20 on Saturday, September 15, 1 105.8-kilometer route from Escaldes-Engordany – Coll de la Gallina (Andorra). The Tour wraps up in Madrid on September 16.
