19/07/2012

On Saturday, July 21, the 9th NACAC Mountain Running Championships will be held at Cypress Mountain Ski Area in West Vancouver, Canada.
The site for this year’s event is the same venue which hosted some of the events for the 2010 Winter Olympics.
The course is an approximately 11 kilometer mostly-uphill course with approximately 1,300 meters of climbing. The course map can be found here: http://www.trailhunger.com/course/47.”

According to event organizer Adrian Lambert, &quot,The course goes from Horseshoe Bay to Cypress Mountain on the Baden Powell Trail.
It’s quite steep in some sections, and is, at times, a single track, alpine trail. I’ve been told it’s an exciting, scenic, and enjoyable trail and I think it will be an excellent course for the NACAC Mountain Running Championships.&quot,
Teams from Mexico, Canada, and the United States are expected to compete.
