Course finalized for the 15th WMRA Long Distance Mountain Running Championships

WP 20171014 13 24 47 ProWith the contract for the WMRA Long Distance Mountain Running Championships signed, WMRA Delegate Wolfgang Münzel met members of the local organizing committee in Karpacz to make preparations for the upcoming championships. Together with Andy Puchacz (WMRA Council Member) and Joanna Grygier (Race Director) Münzel inspected and confirmed the race course.

The start/finish will be located in the city centre of Karpacz, and the up- and downhill course will be two laps. The route, which includes wide and stony tracks, leads across the summit of the famous Snieska Mountain offering extraordinary landscape and spectacular scenery in good weather conditions.  The championship race is integrated in the traditional Thre Times Snieska Mountain Race.

The parametres of the course:

36,2 km elevation gain 2110 m two loops

Accommodation as well as the information center will be located at the luxurious Golebiewski Resort (the biggest in Poland), just 4 km outside of Karpacz. The destination for the arriving teams will be WROZLAW AIRPORT.

The date of the championships is Sunday, the 24th of June 2018. LOC President Radoslaw Jecek (Mayor of Karpacz) promised a spectacular and perfect organized event.
