International mountain event for youths attracts several countries.
The Marco Germanetto Memorial races for youths under 17 (a WMRA associate member mountain running event) were held in Susa (ITA) on 26th June.
Several countries responded to the invitation from Atletica Susa by sending their young mountain runners.
With 2 athletes counting towards the team results, England won the boys race and Slovenia the girls race. Hosts Italy were 3rd in each event.
2004 World Trophy junior silver and bronze medallists Lucia Krkok and Mateja Kosovelj placed 1 and 2 for Solvenia
The boys race was won by Germanys Manual Stockert, followed closely by Englands Alec Duffield.
