WMRA competition at the start: Grand Ballon first Grand Prix race 2012.

For the fourth year, the Mont&eacute, du Grand-Ballon in France is welcome the WMRA Grand-Prix.
Ahmet Arslan (Turkey) the 5 times European champion and winner of the two last Grand-Prix has chosen the Grand-Ballon to begin his mountain season.
Just back from Ethiopia, he’s coming on the top of the Vosges to test his form before the next european championship at home in Turkey.


He will find here in Willer-sur-Thur a high level race with three top italian runners: Gabriele Abate, Emanuele Manzi and Alex Baldaccini, the french runners Georges and Edouard Burrier, Adam Kovacs from Hungary (9th place at the last world championship) and also runners from Great Britain (Osborne, Mac Mullan, Lockyer, Hobbs), from Czech Republic (Skalsky), from Switzerland (Wenk).

By the women, this Mont&eacute,e du Grand-Ballon will be also a top race with at the start in Goldbach, Valentina Belotti (Italy), Emma Clayton and Sarah Tundstall from Great Britain, Bernadette Meyer-Br&auml,ndle (Switzerland) the winner of the race 2011, Ad&eacute,la&iuml,de Pantheon (France) and Skalnikova and Milesova from Czech Republic.

Tomo Sarf will attend to the race as WMRA Council member.
